Christmas is an exciting time. Wrapping presents, writing cards, decorating your house, meeting with family, it is easy to lose focus. Don’t advertise on social media any gifts you got - especially valuable ones. This is the easiest way to show someone where they should come next. 

Protecting your car 

Don’t leave valuables in the car, it's not that difficult for burglars to open it. It is really easy to break a window if someone sees something interesting in your car. With this in mind, hide things from burglars, not the kids.  

If you have two cars, you can leave one on the driveway while traveling. This can scare away criminals. You can also ask neighbours if they can sometimes park on your driveway.
