- Free from flooding, in an area which is free from flooding and not within 250 meters of any rivers, lakes, watercourse or flood area.
- Not being monitored or every been monitored for subsidence, heave, landslip or been underpinned
- As far as you are aware no neighboring buildings have ever been subject of an occurrence of subsidence, heave or landslip.
- Your permanent residence or in the case of a rental property that it is tenanted.
- Occupied as a single dwelling unit & the property must not be let as bedsit type accommodation or multi units
- Not regularly left unattended at night.
- Not being used as part of a business, trade or profession.
- Built of brick, stone or concrete and roofed with slate or tiles.
- Not made of more than 20% non-standard roof construction.
- In a good state of repair.
- Not unoccupied for more than 30 days.
- Not a listed building or subject to a preservation order.
- Not undergoing any construction or renovation works.
- Not located on a site which exceeds 2 acres in size.
- Owned by a private individual not a company or firm.
- Have NOT suffered any loss or damage during the last 5 years on this property or any property owned which would have been covered by this type of insurance had it been in force whether or not a claim was paid (other than the claims declared already).
- Not had a gap in your home insurance cover in the last 5 years (other than declared already).
- Ever been refused cover, had a policy cancelled or any special terms imposed.
- Ever been convicted of a criminal offense, have a prosecution pending or have ever been declared bankrupt.
- The proposer is an individual and not a company or firm.
- You are not renting this property through air BnB.
- There is a formal rental agreement for a period of no less than 12 months in place between the proposer(s) and the tenant(s).
- The landlord must be registered with the Private Residential Tenancies Board (PRTB).
